Dealing with Ear Infection Pain

We can’t reach out to the place where the pain as occurred to soothe the pain. Without thinking of other options it is always good to consult the ENT specialist to cure the disease.
Antibiotics were considered as the obvious medicine for ear pain and parents were more satisfied seeing an antibiotic in the prescription or sometimes we end up buying antibiotics ourselves without consulting a doctor. Now there are controversies over the antibiotic administered for ear infections. Researches say that children who were given other apt medicines were cured easily and had better relief. The ear infections did not occur again but the children who took antibiotics for ear pain and infections were again affected by infections in the ear. Best solution given nowadays by the doctors is wait and watch. But parents are not ready to wait and see their kids cry out of pain and also after knowing that there are antibiotics to cure the pain. The parents feel it is inhumane but doctors feel they should take time before treating their patients.
Another more controversial way of treating ear infections is through a mini surgical method where a small portion of the ear drum is cut and a tube is inserted to take the pus out of the ears. Researchers are against even this method and they say that this further increases the infection.
